Thinnerweb album cover

Thinnerweb

This unique side project titled Thinnerweb, was done by Jeremiah Soto (Solace) before he turned his full attention to creating belly dance music. When we asked for a music category to place this title in, the reply came back "meditative. It is very minimal acoustic music with some medieval and Middle Eastern influences." It is instrumental; no vocals, but we're not sure you would mediate to it, either. It is something you must listen to for yourself to fully experience it.

Eventide (the original band's name) was inspired by a group called "Dead Can Dance" and their creation of Medieval music. This CD returns to those roots to bring you something new.

The following is taken directly from Solace's website:

'Still' was a side project by the remaining members of Eventide. Jeremiah, Dann & Laura experimented with the 'beautiful noise' concept, which was popular in the early 90's and released a collection of dark, moody guitar & percussion music.

'Still' paints a brooding picture of depth and melancholy which envelops the senses like a wall of water. Each song drapes like an opaque curtain with moments of calm, then, out of nowhere, explodes into a wash of beautiful noise. Guitars and Basses knit a complex layer of minimalist notes, while Arabic percussion lies just underneath the web to complete this beautiful assault of sound. Jeremiah co-produces and plays Arabic percussion.

There are only a limited number of CDs available for this title!

This is the perfect CD to complete or add to your collection of Solace and hear something different that, in our opinion, comes from a very gifted and talented man.
