New Rhythms

Rhythm of the Dance album cover

Rhythm of the Dance

This is Solace's first solo music production, Rhythm of the Dance.

Solace is Jeremiah Soto, a man who is making quite a musical impact on the belly dance world. We checked out their website and were so impressed by the write-ups, expression, strong rhythms and emotions of the music, we have become a very proud vendor for their company.

This CD is perfect for all levels of dancers, drummers and for zill practice. The insert includes charts on where and how to hit the drum to duplicate the sound and a chart for those studying the finger cymbals, too. An excellent CD to start or add to your collection!

This music is a perfect challenge for any level dancer or workout to if you are a belly dancer, or want a good introduction to world music, this is the CD for you.

And this music isn't just for the beginner. The following is taken directly from Solace's website:

Krisha Kazimira writes:

Seldom does a collection of music for belly dance meet the multifaceted criteria of every level of dancer. 'Rhythm of the Dance' does.

For the beginner dancer, this tape provides a basic rhythm study in a non-repetitive yet easy to dance to style. For the intermediate dancer, it provides uncomplicated tribal rhythms with a percussion heavy enough to keep zill work from becoming burdensome while maintaining a high level of creativity. For the advanced dancer, this tape provides an exciting palette of rhythms enhanced with a myriad of ethnic percussive instruments such as the darboukeh, riqq, zills, djembe and frame drums. Each piece contains enough playful accents to keep an audience intrigued and presents the most popular Middle Eastern rhythms in an inspiring style which communicates the heartbeat of the dance.
