Welcome to New Rhythms Custom Costumes & Our Exclusive Fabric & Color Line! Please allow us to highlight all of our unique services to you below so you can take full advantage of your costuming experience with us!

* Our local seamstress has almost 50 years of sewing experience, beginning when she was 8 years old. She worked at a bridal shop since 1978 and although the store closed in 2000, she continues to work with her aunt who owns a bridal shop today. For 18 years, she has worked on a wide variety of costumes for 2 professional theatres. She knows her fabrics and sewing techniques. She uses a serging stitch that tightly locks in all hems and seams on every item created. She also uses a double-locking French seam on circular skirts, too! All of your costumes will be finished on the inside - something you will rarely (if ever!) find with many imported costume pieces.

* All of our fabrics are washable! Not only are they high quality; we select the fabrics that are the easiest to take care of so you can spend more time dancing and less time running to the dry cleaners or worrying about getting your costume dirty. (Our seamstress did all the laundry herself at the theatres, too. Nothing was ever taken to a dry cleaners.)

Our fabrics, colors and designs are limited and exclusive to us. We offer one-of-a-kind pieces and unique print/designs only found with us. Looking for unique velvets? Twice a year another line or color becomes discontinued, but several yards still remain in stock. We are constantly updating our books, but stop in now to choose the right velvet for you!
We offer over 25 different fabrics and over 40 color choices right now. As we expand our product line, more fabrics and colors will be added so you can find the perfect choice for you!

We offer freedom of choice - choose any fabric, color, or design that pleases you to create your own custom pieces! Many of the items in our current selection can be altered to fit you. Remember, we shop locally so many pieces are one-of-a-kind and fabrics can be sold out quickly, so we can't always duplicate a piece. We stand by our fabrics and costumes now, and for the life of the costume. We are the only store to offer this unique service to you.

We will also alter pieces you already own. Please tell us what they are and what you want done to them and we will get back to you ASAP. You may email pictures or bring it in for a closer look. There will be no charge for items we cannot alter.
We now have sequined trim available in 22 different colors and 9 different styles! We will gladly add something you choose to your custom costume or add it on to a piece you already own. Please tell us what you would like and we will do our best to serve you!

* Velvet Cholis - Closed-back style. You choose your neck design: round, square, v-neck or a gathered front and your own sleeve length to customize your choli to you!
